LinkedIn has launched their French language version today. Nice, however, unfortunately the whole thing does not work properly yet: One of my French colleagues sent me a contact request form (en français, bien sûr) and when I tried to confirm this, I received an error message. I think, the developers will have to look at that again.

Apart from that, LinkedIn has introduced the insertion of widgets and applications into the user’s profile form. I like this and I immediately setup the WordPress widget in order to provide my start page with the most recent blog posts. Other applications include an Amazon reading list and a travel planner.

At Germany’s most popular Online Social Community, XING, things are moving as well: founder Lars Hinrichs hands over his CEO responsibilities over to Dr. Stefan Gross-Selbeck, former General Manager at Ebay Germany. Lars will become a member of the XING Supervisory Board. I wish all the best to both of them .

And last but not least: whoever was planning to look for a new job via their IPhone can do so thanks to a number of providers. For an analysis of those over at Mashable, please click on the link.
